Evans Oaks is an intentional community of eleven private homes clustered around shared space. Each single-family home has traditional amenities, including a private kitchen and small yard area. Our shared space features a common house which includes a simple kitchen, dining area, covered deck, ADA bathroom and a guest room with ensuite bath.
We also have a shared workshop and garden shed. Individual garages with personal storage are at both ends of the property. Shared outdoor space includes parking, walkways, open space, and gardens. Community members also share resources like tools, books, and recreational equipment. Each household lives independently, but neighbors collaboratively plan and manage community activities and shared spaces.
After completing construction and moving into our homes in 2020, we worked together to establish a spectacular landscape. We are enjoying building our relationships together as we live "co-housing light", reveling in both organized and spontaneous gatherings and activities.
