Evans Oaks

a cottage co-housing community

Evans Oaks is an intentional community of private homes clustered around shared space. Each single family home has traditional amenities, including a private kitchen and small yard area. Our shared spaces will feature a common house, which includes a large kitchen, dining area, recreational spaces, and guest quarters.

We will also have a workshop and garages with personal storage at both ends of the property. Shared outdoor space includes parking, walkways, open space, and gardens. Community members also share resources like tools, books, and recreational equipment. Each household lives independently, but neighbors collaboratively plan and manage community activities and shared spaces.

We are actively recruiting for people to join our community. At present there are ten member households and we are enthusiastically seeking the one more. The last available cottage is the Sunflower design, our largest home at 1443 square feet. This two story, two bedroom home has two full bathrooms. Please refer to the “Plans” section for complete details on the cottage, and see the "Site Plan" page for the map of the available location. We have started site improvement and the house construction will begin in late summer of 2019 and completion in mid 2020. Current members have funded the purchase of the land and also paid for the planning, architectural work, surveying and establishment of the LLC (Limited Liability Company) that will be the developer of the project. In order to be a full member of the LLC, the eleventh household member needs to start the membership process as soon as possible.
